Katy Hodge - Project Manager

Katy oversees the delivery and development of our e-mentoring programme, Together Making Futures, which supports young people across Wales to explore STEM education and careers. She is also the charity’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and manages fundraising for The Mullany Fund, working closely with the trustees.

Based in Swansea, Katy has previously worked across community initiatives within the education and charity sectors, managing projects and developing programmes that support people and communities. At The Mullany Fund, she works with schools, colleges, mentors, businesses and university partners to develop meaningful opportunities for young people and continually improve the e-mentoring experience.

Katy is passionate about widening access to education and opportunities, and helping young people see the possibilities available to them in education and the world of work.

Outside work, Katy is a keen foodie and enjoys spending time with her dog, exploring the beautiful beaches and walks across the Gower.

Kathy James - Mullany Fund Ambassador

Kathy’s role is to build connections and collaborations for our work on Together Making Futures. She previously worked in Welsh-medium education as an Assistant Headteacher, with STEM promotion always included in her school leadership roles. She enjoys being part of The Mullany Fund’s drive to ensure that young people in Wales can achieve their ambitions in education and work.

Kathy has also worked within education-focused evaluation teams at London Metropolitan and Cardiff Universities. At The Mullany Fund, feedback and ideas from schools, colleges, learners and mentors are always welcomed.

Kathy is happiest by the sea, so the view from The Mullany Fund’s desk at Swansea University is an unexpected perk!
