Mullany e-Mentoring is our AWARD WINNING, flagship programme of support. It encourages young people to build on their aspirations and gain the knowledge and skills to help them take steps towards a career in STEM. Our mentoring programme won the not-for-profit Wales STEM Awards "Educational Programme of the Year 2024" .
Mentoring is delivered through the medium of a secure and safe, online, bilingual e-Mentoring platform, called Mentora Mullany. We match young people aged 14-19 with a dedicated professional volunteer mentor, who provides tailored advice and guidance based on our tried and tested themes of support for the duration of the session. Although our focus is on inspiring young people to take up STEM careers, we also help students to develop and enhance more general skills. Skills including maths confidence through our collaboration with National Numeracy, revision and study techniques, writing university applications, CV.s etc. Furthermore, we endeavour to improve confidence and resilience, and to help young people make decisions on their next steps and future options.
